When are LTNA neighborhood meetings held and officers elected?
Election of officers and selection of captains are held every other year at the regularly scheduled annual membership meeting or at any special membership meeting called specifically for the purpose to fill vacancies.
Any voting member is eligible for nomination to office when nominated by a voting member and seconded by another voting member and is willing to serve that office for two years. The term starts on the first (1st) day of the month following the election.
Election of officers is bi-annually, on years ending in odd numbers. Elections are held to fill the offices of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. While not officially a part LTNA, our Neighborhood Watch coordinator is a position to be filled by a person living within our neighborhood. When necessary, this position will also be included in the election process.
Votes are cast by ballot in person or by absentee ballot to be available to all voting members within 30 days of the annual membership meeting held in January of election years. Absentee ballots are cast prior to the election.
